Kay Dickinson - Chair | Member of the HR & Governance Committee

Kay took over from Denis Creaghan as Chair of the organisation in September 2016.  She has been on the Board of Arches Housing since 2014 and is also on the Board of NOCN Limited, Voluntary Action Sheffield and Barnsley College.  She is a fellow of the Charted Institute of Management Accountants and was formerly Executive Director of the UK Commission for Employment & Skills.


Tony Jervis - Deputy Chair | Chair of the Investment Committee

Tony has been a Board member since September 2015 and took over from Kay as Vice-Chair in September 2016. Until recently he was a Chartered Town Planner and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.  With extensive experience in housing and regeneration, he has spent over 35 years specialising in the delivery of affordable housing within sustainable mixed tenure neighbourhoods and now runs his own consultancy practice.

Shamsa Latif | Member of the HR & Governance Committee


Shamsa has been an Arches Board member since September 2010, she  has worked in the Civil Service for over 15 years for Jobcentre Plus.  She has extensive experience in the Voluntary, Community and Faith (VCF) sector where she led one of the largest BME Training and Enterprise Centres in Europe. 



Iain Campbell | Chair of the HR & Governance Committee



Iain joined the Board for a second time in September 2015 he was previously Chair of Arches during the period of change to Arches management structure and attaining BME status. He is now retired from his various career roles as Community Participation Officer with Hull City Council, Chief Officer for a Housing Co-operative and a Community Development Trust and Housing Governance Officer with Hull Council.



Andrew Liles | Member of the Investment Committee



Andrew joined the Board in September 2017.  With over 30 years’ experience in social housing he is a members of the Association of Building Engineers (FCABE) and is currently a senior manager at Together Housing Group, responsible for asset management, stock investment, compliance and a full range of asset management functions.


Mohammed Jamil | Chair of the Audit & Risk Assurance Committee



Mohammed also joined the Board in September 2017.  He has almost 30 years business management experience at senior management level in both private and public sectors, including in the nuclear services industry, Legal and Services Commission, Crown Prosecution Service, and UK Commission for Employment and Skills.  He has extensive experience of managing public investment and working with Boards, including audit and risk committees on the process and controls in place to demonstrate the effectiveness of the grant making processes.

Mohammed’s qualifications include a PhD in Nuclear Science and an MBA. 


Joice Rennie | Member of the Investment Committee


Joice joined the Board in September 2018 and has over 30 years in housing and is currently responsible for Managing Change, Customer Services, ITC, Human Resources and Housing and Neighbourhoods. She has a vast knowledge of regeneration and planning having managed the Housing and Environmental projects for Sheffield New Deal.



Ian Falconer | Member of the HR & Governance Committee and Audit & Risk Assurance Committee


Ian joined the Board in September 2018 and is the Operations Director of a Sheffield based PR/Communications business and has a background working in risk consultancy. Ian also has experience working with other local community institutions such as Doncaster College and University Centre and he is also Treasurer of Sheffield Music Academy



Terry Gallagher | Member of the Investment Committee and Risk Assurance Committee


Terry Gallagher joined the Board in September 2018 and is a qualified accountant (FCMA) with a 30-year career in finance, spanning both commercial and public sector, including experience as Director of Corporate Services at Sheffield Homes and Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Lambeth Living. Terry is also is also a Trustee of the Young Lambeth Coop, Emmaus South Lambeth and The Moldova Project (TMP), a UK based charity, which runs projects and practical assistance to vulnerable families in Europe’s poorest countries.



Ajman Ali | Member of the HR & Governance Committee


Ajman joined the Board in September 2018 and is the Director of Housing at a local authority and brings with him a wealth of experience of housing and delivering wider public and community services.
