Kay Dickinson - Chair | Member of the HR & Governance Committee

Kay took over from Denis Creaghan as Chair of the organisation in September 2016.  She has been on the Board of Arches Housing since 2014 and is also on the Board of NOCN Limited, Voluntary Action Sheffield and Barnsley College.  She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and was formerly Executive Director of the UK Commission for Employment & Skills.

 

Tony Jervis - Deputy Chair | Chair of the Investment Committee

Tony has been a Board member since September 2015 and took over from Kay as Vice-Chair in September 2016. Until recently he was a Chartered Town Planner and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.  With extensive experience in housing and regeneration, he has spent over 35 years specialising in the delivery of affordable housing within sustainable mixed tenure neighbourhoods and now runs his own consultancy practice.

 

Iain Campbell | Chair of the HR & Governance Committee

 

 

Iain joined the Board for a second time in September 2015 he was previously Chair of Arches during the period of change to Arches management structure and attaining BME status. He is now retired from his various career roles as Community Participation Officer with Hull City Council, Chief Officer for a Housing Co-operative and a Community Development Trust and Housing Governance Officer with Hull Council.

 

  

Andrew Liles | Member of the Investment Committee

  

 

Andrew joined the Board in September 2017.  With over 30 years’ experience in social housing he is a members of the Association of Building Engineers (FCABE) and is currently a senior manager at Together Housing Group, responsible for asset management, stock investment, compliance and a full range of asset management functions.

  

Mohammed Jamil | Chair of the Audit & Risk Assurance Committee

 

 

Mohammed joined the Board in September 2017.  He has almost 30 years business management experience at senior management level in both private and public sectors, including in the nuclear services industry, working on legal aid funding reforms, scrutiny of public prosecution services and in national skills and employment policy development. He has significant track record of managing public investment and working with Boards, including audit and risk committees on evaluating impact of public funding. 

Mohammed’s qualifications include a PhD in Nuclear Science and an MBA.

  

Joice Rennie | Member of the Investment Committee

Joice joined the Board in December 2017, having worked closely with Arches in the past, and now sits on the Investment Sub Committee. Joice is a CIH Chartered Member with over 30 years’ experience in the Housing sector, as a Deputy Managing Director and Director of Housing. Alongside her vast amount of experience in housing management, regeneration and new build, she is also a Chartered Institute of Management qualified, Senior Management Coach/Mentor. Her specialist areas are Managing Change, Customer Services/Resident Involvement, IT and Human Resources. She is also the Vice Chair for Rykneld Homes, an ALMO with RP status where she is a member of the Governance and Audit Board. 

 

 

  

Ian Falconer | Member of the HR & Governance Committee and Audit & Risk Assurance Committee

Ian joined the Board of Management in December 2017, and became a member in September 2018.  He has a background in public sector audit, finance and risk consultancy and works with a number of local community institutions such as The Sheffield College, the Sheffield Music Academy and the offices of the Police & Crime Commissioner and the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire. 

 

Terry Gallagher | Member of the Investment Committee and Risk Assurance Committee

Terry Gallagher joined the Board in December 2017 and is a qualified accountant (FCMA) with a 30-year career in finance, spanning both commercial and public sector, including experience as Director of Corporate Services at Sheffield Homes and Lambeth Living finishing there as the CEO. Terry continues to do consultancy roles and has a range of trustee/non-exec roles. These include recent appointments to the S2 Foodbank and to MASKK (Manor after schools Kids club). Prior roles included those with the Young Lambeth Coop, Emmaus South Lambeth and The Moldova Project (TMP), a UK based charity, which runs projects and practical assistance to vulnerable families in Europe’s poorest countries.  He continues to participate in sponsorship and project work with TMP. 

 

 

Ajman Ali | Member of the HR & Governance Committee

Ajman joined the Board in December 2017 and is the Director of Housing at a local authority and brings with him a wealth of experience of housing and delivering wider public and community services.
