About us About us

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has awarded Arches Housing the highest rating for governance and financial viability.

The Regulator of Social Housing regulates registered providers of social housing to promote a viable, efficient and well-governed social housing sector able to deliver homes that meet a range of needs.

The RSH gather intelligence to inform their assessment of registered providers, which include housing associations, by reviewing quarterly survey returns; carrying out annual stability checks of business plans and annual accounts; and undertaking periodic In Depth Assessments (IDAs) using a risk-based approach to assess providers’ financial strength, risk profile, approach to value for money and their quality of governance.

The RSH undertook an IDA of Arches Housing between October 2019 and March 2020 and concluded that Arches should retain its G1 V1 grading – the top grades for governance and viability.

Paul Common Chief Executive of Arches said:

“The rating from the RSH is a huge credit to the leadership of our board and our fantastic staff team and really reflects the dedication and compassion that is shown every day at Arches.

"Most importantly our customers can take comfort and be confident that their landlord is a robust, well-run organisation that has their best interests at heart.”
