First day for new Arches Housing CEO.

John Hudson, the new CEO at Arches Housing, has today (1^st April 2026) taken over the reins of the 1,400 home housing organisation based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire following the retirement of its previous CEO Paul Common.

John has been part of Arches success for a number of years, having joined Arches in 2017 as Director of Operations with responsibility for delivering high quality housing and property services to Arches customers. John has a wealth of housing sector experience, having worked across the sector for over 24 years.  Prior to joining Arches, John held leadership roles at Your Housing Group, Harvest Housing Group and Manchester City Council.

John comments: “It is a huge privilege to be Arches' next CEO. Paul has set a high bar and I'm looking forward to leading Arches into its next chapter. I would like to thank Paul for all he has done for customers, colleagues and communities during his time with Arches. I also wish him a restful retirement with his family."
