We’re Here to Help
At Arches Housing, we take anti-social behaviour (ASB) seriously. We’re committed to helping you feel safe and supported in your home. ASB can take many forms—from everyday issues like noise to serious criminal behaviour—and we’re here to help you deal with it.
If you’re not sure what counts as ASB or how to report it, visit our ASB Toolkit for clear advice and guidance.
Important: If a crime is happening or has happened, please contact the police first.
**Call 999 in an emergency**
What Isn’t ASB?
Before you report something, ask yourself: is it really anti-social behaviour?
Some things can be annoying but aren’t usually considered ASB, such as:
> Children playing;
> People looking or staring;
> Loud talking;
> Normal household noise (e.g. washing machines);
> One-off parties or celebrations;
> DIY during reasonable hours.
If you’re unsure, speak to your Housing Officer. We’re happy to talk it through with you.
Sometimes, a friendly chat with your neighbour can solve the issue. If you’re not sure how to approach them, check out our tips on the tabs below for speaking to your neighbour.
Need Support?
Even if your issue isn’t ASB, we understand it can still affect your wellbeing. You can access our free, confidential tenant support service for advice and emotional support.
Visit the Tenant Support & Wellbeing Service page to learn more.
Gathering Evidence
If you believe you’re experiencing ASB, we may ask you to keep a record of what’s happening. This helps us understand the situation and take action.
Please include:
1. Date and time of each incident
2. What happened
3. How it affected you
You can download and fill in our Incident Log Sheet—either on your device or by printing it out.
