What is a TARA?
A TARA is a group of local people who work together to provide a voice for the wider
community on housing and other neighbourhood issues.
TARAs are great for fostering a sense of community. They are inclusive to everyone living in their local area and are non-political.
Some things TARAs can do are:
- organising community activities
- fundraising to help improve the neighbourhood
- combating problems like antisocial behaviour
- arranging clean-up campaigns or litter picking
