On Sunday, July 13, 2025, Arches Housing participated in the Abbeyfield Community Festival.
What an incredible turnout from both the community and stallholders!
There was plenty of engagement and entertainment, along with generous donations from the public for our charity of the year at Arches at 50 – the Archers Project.
We had the pleasure of speaking with the Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Sheffield - Safiya Saeed, Councillor Talib Hussain for Burngreave, as well as numerous local businesses in the area.
Have you heard about the Sheffield Community Toolbank? Located at Reyt Repair, Abbeyfield Park House, S4 7AT, they are open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM. They provide a fantastic opportunity to share and hire tools for those on a tight budget needing to tackle DIY projects in their homes or gardens. This is an invaluable local service, so be sure to consider them before starting your next project!
Speaking of Reyt Repair, if you need assistance with repairing clothes, electrical items, or furniture, their dedicated volunteers are ready to help! This social enterprise, powered by volunteers, operates at Abbeyfield Park House from 10 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday to Saturday. It’s a wonderful way to reduce waste and upcycle your cherished belongings.
A massive round of applause is in order for the organisers of such a fantastic festival! Kudos to all the volunteers and performers – we can’t wait for the next one!
