Charity football match and family fun day held in memory of Scott Smith
Arches Housing is proud to have sponsored a special charity football match and family fun day held in memory of Scott Smith. The event brought the community together to celebrate his life, while also shining a light on the importance of supporting men’s mental health.
Incredible amount raised
Thanks to the generosity of all those who attended, an incredible £10,000 has been raised to support Andy’s Man Club and Scott’s family.
As a social housing provider, we know that strong communities are built not only on homes but on people looking out for one another. Football — a game built on teamwork — offered the perfect setting to spark conversations around mental wellbeing and to remind us that nobody should face their struggles alone.
“We’re honoured to support this event in Scott’s memory. To see so many people come together, have fun, and raise such an amazing amount shows the power of community. Men’s mental health is an issue that affects so many, and we’re committed to helping break the silence and the stigma.” Charlotte Elwood, Arches Housing.
The family fun day included makers & food stalls, children’s activities, raffles and an auction, making it a day that truly offered something for everyone — and all in the spirit of remembrance and togetherness.
Community importance
By backing events like this, Arches Housing continues its commitment to building communities where people feel supported, connected, and able to seek help when they need it.
